In this course it was all about being different and taking the regular high school class and crushing it. On being treated as colleagues and not students i believe that we did deserve it. To be treated in a way that no has ever done. Also it is a lot of trust and that's kinda the best part to not be treated like kids and more like adults. And the main reason i think this happens is because we don't speak up my personal opinion on why most of us don't speak up the main thing probably is because we are embarrassed. Secondly is because we are kinda so used to having just being talked to like we just sit listen and then leave so that what i think why some or all teachers don't have much trust in us and sometimes cause we don't trust them to. And on the topic of earning that right to be treated as adults and not kids we deserve that for the most part we have been in school for like 10 years we need some change at least. I feel like many other students could strive through this method of learning as well as i believe i did. I also feel like i have espoused (fancy word for love lol) learning which surprises me cause i hate school, and the ways we are being taught things like giving us huge amounts of info that the percentage of what i may actually use in the future is like 10% of that 90% that they give us. Like really do i look like a freaking computer. So i’m very happy with the outcome of the course.
“The lie that tells the truth” That quote reminds me of the story “Conscience of a Hacker’ and how this course completely redefined school classes. This story shows what everyone thought the class was going to be like in the beginning of the school year. Another story that we read that describes how the year has been was “Fahrenheit 541”. What reminded me was the character Montag. He shows kinda how most of our mentalities were and how most of us were not really sure of our purpose of what we wanted to get out of the class. And being in the classroom you kinda don't question it so we just rolled with it. And by the end of the story Montag found his true self and his passion.
My passion for as long i can remember has always been in the medical field if it's playing nurse,doctor, or even surgeon. This course really put me in the mentality of chasing my goals and actually achieving them. My continuation with learning will be going to a University straight after high school. And i hope in my future classes i will get this method of learning.
Laughing is cool right? Well if i had to pick a moment that i really laughed was probably when Dr.Preston dropped his smoothie in his shirt. That was funny as hell lol… Nah! I’m just playing that was low key sad. But i really didn't have a moment where i really laugh, mostly because i don't laugh much.. I make people laugh ayyy.
O.K on the presentations, and i know i high key no one is gonna talk bout me lol, they were actually better than i expected i just like expected everyone to like talk slow and boring, and like half ass their presentation, but no everyone did a really good job. The people who stood out to me were a couple people like Ricky, Carlos Cano, other Carlos, Noelia, and Adamari. Firstly what stood out on Ricky’s presentation i heard him perfectly, his topic is really relevant like i say that shit everyday so i was really interested. He was also really funny so that made me remember him even more. The second presentation i likes was Carlos Cano i really appreciate that he did something that he will probably will be using in the future. Also that he has the courage of doing something like that knowing people will judge and with a class of teen watching. And i don't know anything about cutting hair but i like the hair cut. Also the other Carlos his presentation was the best number 2 on my list for best presentations. I really like that he had the whole class involved because i think if it was just him doing a experiment people may have gotten bored. And i learned some new things on that day.Noelia did a really good job here presentation was also very relevant because in high school is the high peak of judgement we all judge each other in these 4 years and there's no escaping it so i really liked that she talked about that. And now for my number 1 favorite presentation Adamari. Her presentation was very interesting and goes with noelias in some aspects. LIke to trust people that they won’t judge you, or to helpfully trust someone that they will judge you but helpful words only. The exercises she did were really interesting and i have never heard of that so that was nice. She also had really good facts and yeah hers was my favorite.
The hero’s journey, Yeah i don’t think i finished that. I feel like i started was good and just like took a nap and never finished. But what i’ve done i’m pretty proud of it. So yah that's what happened. O.K. I think i’ve said what was meant to be said. That’s all i have..Bye.
